Now Jamaica try to tempt Morrison

Jamaica has made a formal invitation to Crystal Palace

Jamaica has made a formal invitation to Crystal Palace

striker Clinton Morrison to join their World Cup campaign.

Morrison has also been linked with the Republic of Ireland and is currently considering his options.

Mick McCarthy ruled him out of contention for this month's friendly against Denmark but said he would consider him if he was to commit in the future.

Jamaican technical director Clovis de Oliveira made the approach after talks with the Tooting-born player last week in London.

Fulham striker Barry Hayles is also a Jamaican target as is Queens Park Rangers defender Richard Langley, like Morrison and Hayles born in London.
