Mr Justice Morris remanded the accused man on bail to December 12th next when a new trial date will be fixed.

During the five day trial, the 41 year old widower pleaded not guilty to charges of rape, having unlawful carnal knowledge and sexual assault of his daughter (now 18) in or about March 1991 and again in July 1993.
