Gardai investigating the robbery and imprisonment of a Tipperary family at the weekend were last night questioning nine men and women, mostly from the Clondalkin area of Dublin.
The family from Fethard, Co Tipperary were locked into a small shed on Saturday night for 17 hours before beings released. The couple's three children suffered from sickness, vomiting and passed in and out of consciousness because of the lack of air in the shed.
Before being locked in the shed the family, which owns a cigarette vending company, was, threatened and roughly handled by the gang. The robbers escaped with cash and cigarettes.
