Toshiba (6502.T) fell 2 per cent as some investors who bought shares yesterday at a public stock offering sold to take profits, market players said.
The benchmark Nikkei .N225 lost 72.71 points to 9,668.96, snapping a six-day rising streak, while the broader Topix fell 0.4 per cent to 910.99.
