A man accused of murdering INLA chief of staff Gino Gallagher was refused bail in the High Court in Belfast yesterday.
A Crown lawyer alleged that Mr Charles Kevin Begley (25), from Dunville Street, Belfast, had admitted driving the gunman to and from the shooting in a Falls Road social security office on January 30th.
Opposing bail, the lawyer said the shooting was part of an INLA feud and Mr Begley's life might be at risk if he was released.
Mr Peter Irvine, defending, said Mr Begley's alleged admission would be strenuously contested at his trial.
