Rio De Janeiro - At least 14 people died and about 40 were injured in a multiple pileup on a Brazilian highway near Rio, a police spokesman said. The crash late on Monday on a road from Rio to Sao Paulo involved two trucks, two buses and a car.
The police spokesman said there were likely to be more deaths because many of the injured were "in very bad condition". - (Reuter)
