A minute's silence is to be observed before the latest stage of the Tour de France, after a child was killed by a car from the Tour convoy yesterday.

Igor Gonzalez Galdeano still leads after 10 stages, but today's stage between Pau and La Mongie is the first mountain stage, and is expected to favour Lance Armstrong.

The defending champion trails Galdeano by 26 seconds in the overall standings. But he could easily make up that time in the mountains, if his form is as good as in the last three years.
