EMERGENCY measures were needed to collect the "mountain of refuse" which was posing a health hazard to householders on the south side of Dublin, Ms Liz O'Donnell, the Progressive Democrats TD, said last night.
"If the Army can't do the job, then South Dublin County Council should call in private contractors on a once off basis," she said.
