Boxing:Shane Mosley believes he will show Manny Pacquiao that size does matter when the two-weight world champion challenges the Filipino phenomenon for his WBO welterweight title in Las Vegas on May 7th.

Mosley will have the size and reach advantage at the MGM Grand even though Pacquiao, whose first world title came at flyweight, is actually stepping back down from light-middleweight.

He beat Antonio Margarito at 154lbs in November and has also made a mockery of his size by taking the scalps of Oscar de la Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto on his rise to through the pound-for-pound rankings.

But Mosley, who will be making his 55th professional appearance, says he has what it takes to end that impressive streak.

"I've been in there with different guys and, you know, Manny (Pacquiao) is a great fighter, he's a hard worker and he does everything right, that a pound for pound champion should do," he said. "But I do have a lot of advantages. I think naturally my size is going to be the big factor in that fight."

The one advantage Mosley does not have is age. At 39 he has been a pro for more than 20 years and with two wins over de la Hoya in 2000 and 2003 he was considered among the pound-for-pound best at the time.

He had Floyd Mayweather Jr in trouble in his last fight but has not boxed since that wide points loss in May last year.

He has been forced to give up his share in Golden Boy Promotions to take the Pacquiao fight and says he is as hungry now as he was 10 years ago.

"It's going to be a great atmosphere, a great fight, it's going to be even more explosive I guess you could say when I go down to Las Vegas," he said. "It's going to be crazy. But here, you know, I motivated, this is a fight, the fight of my life. So I'm ready to just go and put it all out there."
