Kigali - More than 200 people were killed in the recent clashes between Ugandan and Rwandan troops in north-east Democratic Republic Congo (DRC), a rebel leader on the ground said yesterday.

"There were more than 200 dead," Mr Ernest Wamba dia Wamba, who heads the Uganda-backed faction of the Congolese Rally for Democracy, said.
