GARDAI have discovered that Ms Brenda Winder, the Dutch woman who has been missing for the last two weeks, travelled to Switzerland on the day she was last seen in Dublin.

It has emerged that the 23 year old, who was last seen leaving her digs in Artane in north Dublin on June 10th, bought a one way ticket to Zurich on June 9th for a flight the following day. Gardai have confirmed that she travelled on the 2.20 p.m. Crossair flight from Dublin to Zurich on June 10th. An airport video shows Ms Winder wearing blue faded jeans, a white top and a dark jacket.

Ms Winder bought the £107 ticket in a travel agency in Fairview after collecting social welfare at her local post office. She booked the flight in her own name and gave her correct date of birth. She was on her own at the time.

Gardai who have been investigating her disappearance say they will continue their investigation until they are satisfied she is safe. "If she is in Switzerland, we need to know that she is here of her own free will" said a Garda source.

"She must be alive. But we are still very concerned. She does not have any relatives in Zurich, and does not have any friends that we are aware of. It is very strange," he said.

"She had told us in a letter that she had been contacted by a model agency, and she was not sure if she should work for them. But that agency was in Dublin, as far as we know," he, added.

Ms Winder, who is 6' 1" tall and slim, and has long blond hair, was last seen taking a bus from Artane into the city centre at 12.30 p.m. on June 10th. She was carrying a plastic bag, and gardai now believe she may have had a change of clothes in the bag.
