Tel Aviv - An Israeli travel agent was convicted yesterday of raping Miss World, the Israeli model, Ms Linor Abargil, at knifepoint and trying to choke her with a rope and plastic bag.
The Tel Aviv District Court found Shlomo Nour (43) guilty of abducting and raping Ms Abargil in his car exactly a year ago in a forest near the northern Italian city of Milan. The assault occurred seven weeks before she was crowned Miss World over 85 other contestants in the Seychelles last November.
