The Mayor of Limerick, Councillor Joe Harrington, has opened a fund for the Omagh bomb victims.
Describing last weekend's atrocity as a "pointless and stupid act", the mayor said yesterday that the fund would be for the victim children on long-term medical and hospital care.
Donations to the Omagh fund can be made at any branch of Bank of Ireland in the city - account no 39861799.
