London - Hundreds of civilians are being killed in Burundi, by both government forces and Hutu-led rebels, according to an Amnesty International report to be published today. Amnesty said it had uncovered evidence of massacres of unarmed civilians between November 1998 and March 1999 during a visit to the central African country earlier this year.

"Burundi's human rights crisis will continue unless both the military and armed opposition groups are held to account for their abuses and learn to respect human rights," said Amnesty.
