A man in his early twenties was being treated in St James's Hospital in Dublin early today after being shot in the back in the Crumlin area of the city.

Gardai reported that the man received a shotgun wound to the back in an incident at Dowland Road, in Walkinstown at around 12.45 a.m. Initial reports suggested that the man was not seriously injured.
