Gardai in Galway yesterday appealed for information in an attempt to identify a man seen falling into the River Corrib from O'Brien's Bridge in the city at 2 a.m. last Friday. The incident was witnessed by two people.
"Normally when somebody goes missing in these sort of circumstances, we would receive a missing person's report within 24 hours, but this has not happened," said a Garda spokesman at Mill Street Station.
