Man's death in Co Kildare 'not suspicious'

Detectives said this evening they are not treating discovery of the body of a young man in Co Kildare as suspicious.

State Pathologist Dr Marie Cassidy has carried out a preliminary post- mortem at the scene in Naas. The body, believed to be a man his early 20s, was found lying on long grass close to the Lakelands estate at around 7pm yesterday evening.

The scene is close to St Corban's Primary School, Naas swimming pool and a temporary outdoor carnival erected for the Ryder Cup in nearby Straffan.
