Man's body recovered from river Lagan

The body of a missing man has been recovered from the river Lagan in Belfast

The body of a missing man has been recovered from the river Lagan in Belfast. Michael Young (22) from south Belfast had been missing since entering the water with four other men at about 6am on Saturday.

His body was found near Cutters Wharf after a search involving divers and body recovery dogs. A postmortem is being carried out.

The other men were taken to hospital and their conditions are not said to be serious.
