The body of a 22-year-old man was recovered from a railway line in Cork city last evening

The body of a 22-year-old man was recovered from a railway line in Cork city last evening. The driver of a goods train passing through a railway tunnel at Kilbarry at 7.55 p.m. spotted the man lying on the track but was unable to stop his locomotive on time.

The name of the dead man, who is from the Cork area, has not yet been released.
