A man has been remanded in custody charged in relation to the fatal shooting of Wayne Doherty in the west of the city last July.

Mr Doherty (32), was shot dead at Oakview Way, Hartstown on July 4th.

Robert Egan (26) appeared before Dublin District Court this morning charged with possession of a firearm with intention to endanger life.

There was no application for bail. Mr Egan was remanded in custody to Cloverhill prison to appear before the court again next Thursday.
