Man remanded on sex charges

A 54-year-old Co Tyrone man appeared at Cookstown Magistrates Court yesterday on 12 sex charges. They include rape, attempted rape, indecent assault, gross indecency and attempted buggery involving four girls over a six-year period in the 1980s. The court was told that the accused replied "guilty" to the charges. He was remanded in custody for a week.
