A man has been remanded in custody after drugs with an estimated street value of €56,000 were seized at Dublin airport yesterday.

Customs officers found eight kilograms of cannabis resin in a suitcase.

A man (22), who had arrived on a flight from Malaga, Spain, was arrested and taken to Santry Garda station.

He appeared before Blanchardstown District Court today and was remanded in custody until July 22nd for a bail application.
