Man questioned over Co Down murder

Police in Northern Ireland are questioning a man in connection with the murder of a woman in Co Down.

Police in Northern Ireland are questioning a man in connection with the murder of a woman in Co Down.

The dead woman was named by police this afternoon as Pauline McConnell.

The man was arrested after the Ms McConnell's body was discovered at a flat on Lismore Avenue on the Whitehill estate in Bangor.

A post mortem revealed Ms McConnel died as a result of stab wounds to her chest in the early hours of yesterday morning
