A man was charged last night, in connection with the robbery of about £10,000 from a bank in Boyle, Co Roscommon, on Wednesday. Mr Carl Gorman (20) of Glin Road, Coolock, Dublin, appeared at a special sitting of Boyle District Court. He was remanded in custody and will appear in Collooney District Court, Co Sligo, on, 15th May.

Two other men arrested following the raid on the National Irish Bank in Bridge Street were still detained by gardai last night. A fourth man was released. Gardai have recovered the stolen cash.
