Man injured in Dublin shooting

A man is being treated in hospital after he was wounded in a shooting in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

A man is being treated in hospital after he was wounded in a shooting in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.

The man received head injuries when a number of shots were fired through the window of a house in Colepark Road, Ballyfermot, shortly before 4am this morning.

He was taken to St James's Hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not though to be life threatening.

Gardaí have launched an investigation into the incident and are carrying out a technical examination of the scene.
