A 19-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted in Dublin in the early hours of this morning.
The man was with friends at around 12.30 a.m. today when he was attacked at Goatstown Cross.
Motorists at the junction were forced to stop when those involved in the incident spilled onto the main road.
The man was taken to St Vincent's hospital and later transferred to Beaumount Hospital where he remains in a critical condition.
