A 21-year-old man remains in a critical condition in hospital after he was struck by a British army vehicle in north Belfast in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The vehicle struck the young man near the on the Antrim Road close to Duncairn Gardens. A Police Service of Northern Ireland spokesman said the incident was now under investigation.

The police and British army were attacked with stones and bottles while they were examining the scene.
