Gardaí in Co Clare are investigating the discovery of man's body in Bridgetown this morning.
The man, believed to be in his late forties, was found lying in a ditch by a passer-by.
The scene has been preserved and the State Pathologist is due to arrive later this evening. A Garda spokesman said foul play is not suspected at this time.
The man's identity has not yet been released; ireland.comunderstands the man may have died of hypothermia overnight.
