A man aged in his 20s is to appear before Waterford District Court this morning charged in connection with a stabbing in the city on Monday evening.

The attack happened at Neptune House in the Canada Square area of the city at 11.40pm.

A Garda spokesman said a man in his late 30s was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital suffering from a stab wound, and his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

A man was arrested in connection with the incident yesterday evening and held overnight at Waterford Garda station.
