A man in his 50s died in a fire at the Boghill Centre, a music school, in Lisdoonvarna, Co Clare, yesterday.
He was named as Mr Larry O'Brien, a traditional musician who worked in the school. The fire broke out in the flat he was staying in next to the centre. Two units of the fire brigade from Ennistymon fought the fire after the alarm was raised at 8.50 a.m. yesterday.
