A 21-year-old Co Tipperary student who fell 50 feet from an apartment building in Cork on Good Friday was in a "comfortable" condition at Cork University Hospital yesterday.

The student, from Nenagh, suffered serious head injuries after falling from the roof of the Northgate apartment complex on Bachelor's Quay early on Friday. He and a number of friends had been socialising in the apartment. A spokesman at the CUH said he was no longer in intensive care.
