Tel Aviv - An Israeli travel agent was accused in court yesterday of raping the reigning Miss World, the Israeli model Ms Linor Abargil (19), at knifepoint, and trying to choke her with a rope and plastic bag.
An indictment in Tel Aviv District Court charged Mr Shlomo Nour (43) with abducting and raping Ms Abargil in his car in a forest near Milan last October 6th - seven weeks before she was crowned as Miss World in the Seychelles. He denies the charge.
