Man charged over Swords death

A 22-year-old man appeared in court yesterday afternoon in connection with a fatal stabbing in north Dublin on Thursday.

A 22-year-old man appeared in court yesterday afternoon in connection with a fatal stabbing in north Dublin on Thursday.

Daniel McCormack with an address in Rush Co Dublin was remanded in custody to appear again at Cloverhill District Court next Wednesday.

The dead man, James Joyce (20) was stabbed on St Cronan’s Avenue off Rathbeale Road in Swords shortly after 9pm.

He was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
