A 21-year-old man has been charged in connection with the seizure of heroin in Dublin on Friday.
Kevin May, Shangan Hall, Ballymun, was arrested after a car was stopped at a checkpoint in the Ballymun area on Friday evening.
Uniformed gardaí manning a checkpoint on Balbutcher Lane stopped the car shortly after 9pm.
The car and driver were taken to Ballymun Garda Station where an estimated €70,000 worth of heroin was found. Some cash and a weighing scales were also seized.
He was remanded to appear before Dublin District Court in September.
