Man charged after Dublin drug raid

A 41-year-old man was charged with drugs offences this afternoon following a drug raid in south Dublin last night.

A 41-year-old man was charged with drugs offences this afternoon following a drug raid in south Dublin last night.

He is one of three men detained after gardaí seized heroin and cocaine valued at around €1.4 million in Carrickmines. The other were aged aged 45 and 46.

The drugs were found during a search of a house at Glenamuck Road. In total, 13 kilos of cocaine and half a kilo of heroin were seized.

The man was charged under section III and XV of the Misuse of Drugs Act.

"Two were released without charge earlier today and a file will be prepared and forwarded to the Director of Public Prosecutions in relation to their detentions," a Garda spokesman said.
