A man who broke into the home of puppeteer Eugene Lambert three weeks before he died, in February last year, and stole almost €1,000 from his bank account, has been jailed for 33 months for this and seven other burglaries.

Eddie Stokes (25), Dún Laoghaire, broke into the home Mr Lambert shared with his wife when they were sleeping and took their bank cards.
