Man attacked with glass in Dublin city centre

A man (24) suffered serious facial injuries when he was attacked with a glass in Dublin early this morning.

A man (24) suffered serious facial injuries when he was attacked with a glass in Dublin early this morning.

The attack happened outside a pub on the junction of North Circular Road and Dorset Street shortly after 2.30 a.m.

"A male wearing a beige tracksuit top and carrying a glass assaulted the young man while he stood outside the pub," a Garda spokesman said.

Officers in Fitzgibbon Street station are appealing for witnesses to the serious assault. They can be contacted on 01-6668400 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666111.
