A 24-year-old man has been arrested following the seizure of nearly 40kg of cannabis resin in Dublin this morning.
The drugs, worth an estimated €260,000, were seized by members of the Garda National Drugs Unit following a planned search in Tallaght.
The man is being held at Tallaght Garda Station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
A garda spokesman said the cannabis and other drug paraphernalia recovered in the search have been submitted for analysis.
