A man (23) has appeared in Kilmainham District Court this morning in connection with the fatal stabbing of one man and wounding of another in Lucan, Co Dublin, on Sunday.
Mr Valerij Makarov, a Lithuanian national with an address at Earlsfort Drive in Lucan, was charged with causing serious harm. He was also charged with reckless endangerment and threatening to kill on Sunday night.
All three men involved in the incident were Lithuanian.
A post-mortem was being carried out yesterday on the man (24) who was killed in the attack; the second victim (32) remains in a critical condition at Tallaght Hospital.
