A man accused of helping to dispose of the body of murdered Omagh schoolgirl Ms Sylvia Fleming was released on bail in the High Court in Belfast yesterday. Mr Paul John Rigby (20) of Johnston Park, Omagh, Co Tyrone, was freed after the court was told accommodation had been found a considerable distance from the town.

Mr Rigby was living in England when Ms Fleming (17) was strangled last April following a sex session in the home of a man charged with her murder.

The girl, who was three months pregnant, was tied to a bed by the hands and feet, tape was put over her mouth and eyes and she was injected with insulin.

Her body was cut up and buried in the foundations of a house being built at Mullaghmore, outside Omagh.

The court heard Mr Rigby took police to the burial site and told them all he knew about the killing.

A Crown lawyer said police feared for Mr Rigby's safety if he was granted bail but his lawyer said hostel accommodation had been arranged.
