Man (19) dies after road crash involving animal truck

A 19-year-old man was killed in a road crash in Co Roscommon early yesterday. The man, originally from Brazil, was a passenger in a car which collided with an animal transporter. William Medeiros, with an address in Athlone, was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident took place at 12.10am on the N61 Roscommon to Athlone road. Witnesses are asked to contact Roscommon Garda station on 090-6638300.
