News of increased sales of Magners cider in Britain will bring Christmas cheer to Clonmel-based drinks company C&C.
According to AC Nielsen data, sales of the cider were up by 7.8 per cent in British supermarkets and off licences last month from a year earlier.
Sales roses by 24.2 per cent from the previous month.
While the data "can be volatile from month to month, the fact that Magners managed to increase volumes on the previous month and on the same period last year is encouraging", Merrion Capital said in a statement.
