The Labour Relations Commission has offered its services in an attempt to break the deadlock between unions and management in CIE over the company's viability plan.

A spokesman for the National Bus and Rail Union said it had talks with LRC officers yesterday and was considering the matters put forward. The union expected to be able to report back to the LRC by the end of the week. In the meantime, CIE would have talks with the LRC.
