A man was arrested last night in Limerick City last night for the unlawful possession of a firearm.
According to gardai, the man had a revolver and a knife. He was arrested on Sexton Street North, Limerick City, shortly before 2.30 a.m. today.
He was taken to Henry Street Garda station where he is being detained under section 30 of the Offences against the State Act.
