Celtic midfielder Paul Lambert today signed a two-year extension to his current contract.

The 32-year-old former Scotland international put pen to paper to a new deal that will see him finish his career at Parkhead in 2005.

Manager Martin O'Neill confirmed: "Paul's contract was due to run out in 2003, but he has signed for an extra two years which will take him up to 2005.

"Naturally the whole football club is delighted with the news and I hope Paul is pleased as well. Obviously I imagine that this will see him finish his career at Celtic".
