Beijing - A new round of reunions for families separated for more than 50 years by the Cold War divide between North and South Korea are to be held next month, Miriam Donohoe reports.
The meetings will unite 100 Koreans from each side with their relatives between December 10th and 16th at the Mount Kumgang resort in North Korea, it was announced yesterday.
Nearly all the relatives have had no communication of any kind since the 1950-53 Korean War.
The agreement to the reunion was made yesterday during talks between South and North Korean officials in Mount Kumgang.
