A man was killed in a road accident in Co Kildare early yesterday. Mr Kenneth Maher (25), from Monasterevin, Co Kildare, died after the car he was driving collided with a lorry one mile outside the town.
On Sunday night, a motorcyclist from Co Fermanagh was killed after he collided with an oncoming car three miles outside Monaghan on the Clones Road. Mr Damien McCabe (30), of Cooldrive, Enniskillen, was returning from a nearby motorcycle rally when the accident occurred shortly before 8 p.m.
