Kidnapped mine specialist `alive'

SISOPHON, Cambodia - A British mine clearance specialist who was kidnapped in Cambodia seven months ago is alive and well in the Khmer Rouge stronghold of Anlong Veng, the commander of the breakaway Regiment 41 has said. Mr Chea Bunheng also said he believed that Mr Christopher Howes was being forced to make home made bombs for the guerrillas.
