The jury in the trial of a Dublin businessman for the alleged rape and indecent assault of his sister almost 30 years ago has been discharged after it failed to reach a verdict at the Central Criminal Court. The 45-year-old accused man pleaded not guilty to 19 charges of rape and 11 of indecent assault on his sister, now 40, on dates from 1969 to 1973. He was remanded on continuing bail for the fixing of a new trial date.
