Liverpool - A district judge, a solicitor and six magistrate court clerks have been arrested on suspicion of corruption, Merseyside police said yesterday.
They would not reveal details of the allegations but said the arrests followed an investigation in conjunction with the Lord Chancellor's Department, the Magistrates Court Committee and the Crown Prosecution Service. All were released on bail last night.
